How to configure auto-refill (top-up)

Updated over 3 weeks ago

You can set any of your SIM cards to automatically refill / top-up when they have consumed all data. This means that your SIM card will always be online. When all data is consumed we'll charge the card you've entered.

It's important to note that both auto-renew (auto-refill) and manual refills can lead to potential duplicate charges under specific circumstances. For example, adding data via a manual refill shortly before auto-refill triggers can result in two separate charges. This is due to each refill being treated as a distinct and valid transaction.

You can also manually refill and change to a different plan. Learn how to do that here.

Avoid manually refilling data just before an anticipated auto-refill to prevent overlapping charges.

Tips to Avoid Duplicate Charges

To effectively prevent unexpected charges due to overlapping manual and auto-refills, follow these best practices:

  1. Monitor Your Data Usage: Regularly check data consumption to ensure apps and devices do not unexpectedly drain data.

  2. Disable Auto-Renew: If preferred, manually manage refills to avoid automated charges.

  3. Timing Your Manual Refills: Avoid performing manual refills close to expected auto-refills.

  4. Configure App Settings: Minimize background data usage to extend your plan duration.
