How to Configure a Wave Connect SIM on a TP-Link Archer NX600 Router

Configuring your TP-Link Archer NX600 router to use a Wave Connect SIM requires setting up an Internet profile and enabling data roaming. Follow the steps below:

Step 1: Access the Router's Admin Page

  1. Connect your device to the router via Wi-Fi or Ethernet.

  2. Open a web browser and type the router’s admin address (commonly 192.168.1.1).

  3. Log in using your router’s admin credentials (default credentials can usually be found on the router).

Step 2: Configure the Internet Profile

  1. Navigate to Advanced > Network > Mobile WAN (or Internet) in the admin menu.

  2. Create or edit a profile with the following details: - Profile Name: Wave Connect - PDP Type: IPv4 (or IPv4/IPv6) - APN Type: Static - APN: wbdata - Username: Leave blank - Password: Leave blank - Authentication: None (or Auto if None isn’t available)

  3. Save the changes.

Step 3: Enable Data Roaming

  1. Still on the Mobile WAN page, turn on the Data Roaming option.

  2. Confirm and save the settings.

Step 4: Verify the Connection

  1. Ensure the created profile is selected in the Mobile WAN settings.

  2. Check that the router indicates registration with the "Wave Connect" (wbdata) network.

Notes

  • Authentication settings (username and password) are not required for the Wave Connect SIM and can be ignored.

  • If there are connection issues, verify that the APN settings are correctly configured.

By following these steps, your router will be set up to connect to the Wave Connect network efficiently.
