How to Configure a Wave Connect SIM on a TP-Link Archer NX600 Router
Configuring your TP-Link Archer NX600 router to use a Wave Connect SIM requires setting up an Internet profile and enabling data roaming. Follow the steps below:
Step 1: Access the Router's Admin Page
Connect your device to the router via Wi-Fi or Ethernet.
Open a web browser and type the router’s admin address (commonly
192.168.1.1).Log in using your router’s admin credentials (default credentials can usually be found on the router).
Step 2: Configure the Internet Profile
Navigate to
Advanced > Network > Mobile WAN(orInternet) in the admin menu.Create or edit a profile with the following details: - Profile Name: Wave Connect - PDP Type: IPv4 (or IPv4/IPv6) - APN Type: Static - APN: wbdata - Username: Leave blank - Password: Leave blank - Authentication: None (or Auto if None isn’t available)
Save the changes.
Step 3: Enable Data Roaming
Still on the Mobile WAN page, turn on the
Data Roamingoption.Confirm and save the settings.
Step 4: Verify the Connection
Ensure the created profile is selected in the Mobile WAN settings.
Check that the router indicates registration with the "Wave Connect" (wbdata) network.
Notes
Authentication settings (username and password) are not required for the Wave Connect SIM and can be ignored.
If there are connection issues, verify that the APN settings are correctly configured.
